30 Days of Commands

A structured 30-day command line course covering CMD, PowerShell, and Linux/Bash. Daily lessons with hands-on terminal challenges, command comparison tables, and progress tracking.

30 Days of Commands is a structured 30-day course that builds command line proficiency across CMD, PowerShell, and Linux/Bash. Each day covers a specific topic — file navigation, text searching, user management, process monitoring, networking, DNS investigation, log analysis, file hashing, firewall rules — with side-by-side command comparison tables showing how the same task is accomplished in each shell.

The course is designed for security students, junior analysts, and IT professionals who want to build real terminal skills systematically rather than picking them up ad hoc. By the end of 30 days you will have covered every command line skill a Tier 1 SOC analyst needs and have a solid foundation for Tier 2 work and more advanced roles.

Each day includes a hands-on terminal challenge that uses the Command Lab simulator. You read the lesson, study the command table, then immediately practice what you learned. Progress is tracked so you can resume where you left off. The course pairs naturally with the Security Flashcards for terminology and the Analyst Simulations for applying your skills in realistic scenarios.
